Align with Universe Evolutionary Processes to Sustain Earth

Universe Day Events

Click here to see what a Universe Day group in San Francisco did at a previous annual Universe Day. Just like "Earth Day" events, we encourage you to invent your own local awareness celebrations, gatherings, creative partnerships with organizations, educational events, and community events. We dare you to inspire outside-the-box on ways to promote awareness for  effectively reducing carbon emissions by using the new universe evolutionary perspective to create a more sustainable planet.

Please send us information about the local Universe Day events that you are creating at manage@universespirit.org and we will let others know about them. We will also be posting updates about our local San Francisco Universe day 2013 event in the Facebook window father down this page.

Inspirations

We can begin to speak of the evolutionary value of lineages as an end in itself, because the evolutionary epic is our creation story. We can begin to speak of the diversity value of species as an end in itself, because for us biodiversity is today's glorious manifestation of our sacred story and the only way to ensure that the story will continue.

Universe Day 2014: Calling Attention to the Climate Cliff, the Tipping Points of Irreversible Climate Destabilization (Global Warming) & the First Declared Planetary State of Emergency

Announcing the 5th annual Universe Day! Universe Day is an annual event December 31st at noon through January 1st at noon. This year the message of Universe Day 2014 focuses on:

1.) increasing awareness of the looming climate cliff, which is crossing the global warming tipping points leading to irreversible or extinction-level climate destabilization. (The current escalating climate destabilization is the result of human-caused carbon pollution of our atmosphere by fossil fuels.

2.) dramatically reducing human-caused atmospheric carbon emissions on an emergency basis! To support the emergency reduction of human-caused carbon emissions the 4th annual Universe Day event declares this December 31 st to be Day One of the first Planetary State of Emergency on Escalating Climate Destabilization. (This emergency reduction of human-caused carbon emissions is Job One for of all Humanity. For emergency and non emergency actions to be taken to mitigate escalating climate destabilization see the Job One for Humanity link farther down this page .)

3.) encouraging people to completely stop using the terms global warming and climate change in their conversations and switch to the more accurate and useful terms of climate destabilization, irreversible climate destabilization, extinction-level climate destabilization and the looming climate cliff. (The blog elsewhere on this web site explains in detail why this is a critical terminology upgrade in the climate stabilization battle.)

We invite you to gather with friends this 4th annual Universe Day to help enact evolutionary solutions to the looming climate cliff and the escalating catastrophic climate destabilization as well as to celebrate the beauty and wonder of the universe we live in.

Similar to Earth Day events, individuals and organizations all over the planet are encouraged to self-organize their own Universe Day 2013 meet-ups to forward this year's urgent Universe Day approaching climate cliff and Planetary State of Emergency message.

In true Millennial style, Universe Day is a no-ownership, no-egos, get-the-message-out-now local and international co-created event. Imitate it, adapt it, improve it. “Steal it, even, if it hastens the spread of its vital message.

Why does Universe Day land on noon December 31st to noon on January 1st? The New Year’s holiday is a time spent by many to reflect on the previous year, and examine how they want to live in the New Year about to begin. Celebration is also a way to energize important intentions. Mark Twain said, “Never trust your mind when your imagination is out of focus.” Likewise, on Universe Day, how might one shape their New Year’s resolutions when the biggest possible challenge to humanity's future (the emergency and climate destabilization cliff) is also in focus?

What will you do as part of the universe on this Universe Day January 1st?
The universe and its beautiful planet Earth are waiting for you…

Similar to Earth Day events, individuals and organizations all over the planet are encouraged to host their own Universe Day and meetups to forward the Universe Day message. Universe Day is a no-ownership, no-egos, get-the-message-out now viral event. Imitate it, adapt it, improve it, and even steal it if it means that its message is quickly adopted to build a more sustainable future.

What Else You Can Do to Learn More...

The secondary message behind Universe Day is derived in part from the wisdom of Albert Einstein when he said: “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.” One doesn’t have to be a scientist, activist, or political analyst to know that the challenges faced on a worldwide scale (the climate cliff and climate destabilization, war,  other environmental degradation, the unstable global economy...) have serious consequences. But rather than merely feeling overwhelmed by these issues, the impetus behind Universe Day is to expand one's perspective on how one thinks about them and shift our lives into better alignment with universe-scale, evolution-informed solutions --- new strategies for improvement based on universe-scaled science.

Universe Day is essentially a challenge to all of us. Amazing leaps in technology have extended the vision of the naked eye well over a million times. With recent innovations in astronomy and evolutionary science, we’ve discovered more factual knowledge about the universe in the last 20 years than all of human history. With these leaps in our collective vision, we are touched and impacted in our consciousness by the rareness and miracle of what we have here on Earth. In other words: just as the universal informs the personal, so does it transform our planetary perspectives. Can we use these new extensions to our collective eyes, ears, hearts, and souls to examine what this universe means to us?

Universe Day is facilitated by the non-profit organizations Universe College, Universe Spirit and Universe Institute Universe CollegeUniverse Spirit and (Universe Institute.org ). You can learn more about everything mentioned just above on these websites.
